Cencosud S.A., established in 1978 by German-Chilean entrepreneur Horst Paulmann, has grown into one of Latin America’s largest and most diversified retail conglomerates. With operations spanning Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and the United States, Cencosud manages a vast portfolio of brands, including Jumbo, Santa Isabel, Paris, Easy, and Wong. The company’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for its customers by offering a differentiated value proposition, focusing on product quality and excellent service across all physical and digital platforms.

Cencosud’s philosophy centers on sustainable development and profitability, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that actively engages with the communities it serves. The company emphasizes a balance between growth, environmental stewardship, and social well-being, aiming to generate value that benefits all stakeholders.

Innovation is a cornerstone of Cencosud’s strategy. In 2024, the company restructured its corporate organization to accelerate its strategic plan, creating a new Retail Ecosystem management team. Project with Eton

Since 2012, Eton has partnered with Cencosud to enhance its private-label apparel offerings across various retail formats, including department stores and supermarkets. Recognizing the need for consistent quality and timely delivery, Eton collaborated closely with Cencosud’s design and procurement teams to streamline the product development process.

Eton’s role encompassed sourcing sustainable materials, optimizing production timelines, and implementing rigorous quality control measures to uphold Cencosud’s standards. By leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques and adhering to ethical production practices, Eton contributed to Cencosud’s goal of offering responsibly made fashion.

The partnership also focused on enhancing supply chain efficiency. Eton implemented robust logistics solutions, facilitating timely delivery of products to Cencosud’s extensive network of stores. This collaboration ensured that Cencosud could consistently meet customer demand, maintaining its reputation for reliability and quality.

Through this enduring partnership, Eton has played a pivotal role in supporting Cencosud’s growth and commitment to delivering exceptional fashion experiences.
